SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling Yet another Snape-y bit from Book 5. I tried something different with the lines, and it came out looking kind of interesting, but I don't know if I could duplicate the effect.
SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling A doodle of little Snape, inspired by a certain scene in Book 5. My attempt to do it up like a manga panel failed rather miserably. The halftone filter I used on the greyscales to make them look like screentone instead ended up looking like bad JPG compression. So, basically it's a glorified sketch is all. But it's Snape! What, you didn't think I'd forgotten about him, did you?
SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling Another new character from the 5th book -- Phineas Nigellus. Or rather, his snarky portrait. I thought he was pretty cool. The painting part was colored in Painter, the frame and surrounding wall in Photoshop. I know, he really should have a more decorative frame, but I got lazy.
SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling This is literally the first thing I drew after finishing the 5th book. Loony Lovegood; I found her so adorabe. I made her tie too dark, though, so it sorta looks like she's wearing Hufflepuff colors, but she's not. And yes, that thing is supposed to be a thestral; it's sort of far away and chibi at the same time, so that's why it's so small. As for why its eyes have pupils, I sort of forgot that they weren't supposed to have those. And "My Funny Friend And Me" is the title of a Sting song.
SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling I wanted to try out Photoshop 7, so I whipped out this old old drawing of Gilderoy Lockhart and colored it. You can tell I had a little too much fun with the special brushes. ^^;; The drawing is quite old, and if I drew Lockhart today he'd probably look different; but it's still decent enough, I think.
Snape [Harry Potter] SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling More of the adventures of little kiddy Snape in bad weather. Don't you just love those movie scarves? I certainly do. "It's A Magical World" is, of course, the title of a Calvin and Hobbes collection which shows Calvin and Hobbes joyfully trudging through waist-deep snow. I thought it would be cutely ironic to use it for a picture of little boy Snape angrily trudging through waist-deep snow. ^___^
Viktor Krum [Harry Potter] SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling

Poor Viktor's heart is all a-flutter over that pretty girl he saw in the library. I'm hoping the outfit doesn't make him look too much like Santa Claus.

I'm really starting to love Painter.

Snape [Harry Potter] SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling An old leftover doodle of Snape done on a photocopied class reading turns into a fun little Painter experiment gone horribly right. Don't ask me what's supposed to be happening in the picture, though. And if the silly caption is hard to read, that's a good thing. I only threw it in because there was an empty space on the right, and I meant it to be more subliminal than anything.
Klaus [A Series of Unfortunate Events' SOURCE: A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket It was the early morning hours of my 21st birthday, and I was doodling this memorable scene from Book the Seventh: The Vile Village. Then I thought, "Hey, this has to do with birthdays, I should finish it up in time for my birthday." So I scanned it and messed around in Painter and Photoshop for a while. It's worth noting that, unlike Klaus, I had an excellent birthday. ^__^
Violet, Klaus, and Sunny [A Series of Unfortunate Events' SOURCE: A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket A scene from Book the Seventh: The Vile Village. These books are so horribly screwed up. I love them. ^__^ I love all three Baudelaire kids, but my favorite is Violet (the girl on the left). I think Klaus (the boy) came out best in this picture, though. Colored in Painter, with feathers added in Photoshop. Throughout the process of coloring this, and for quite a while after, "Sadame" from the X TV soundtrack was stuck in my head. It's strangely appropriate. @___@
Snape [Harry Potter] SOURCE: Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling Ooh. I think this may be my favorite Snape fanart after the old one of him as a spy. ^__^ Since I stopped drawing him with a goatee, I have a hard time getting him to look sinister, so instead I go for "pissed off". And look, I sorta changed the way I draw his outfit! Wheeee! ^^ I'm not sure what he's doing with his hand, though.
